Asmodee is the parent company of several different table games studios, including Fantasy Flight Games, Atomic Mass Games, Z-Man Studios, Catan Studios and Days of Wonder. The company s strategy in recent years was acquiring studies of smaller games and integrating them into the company as semi-independent publishers, while adding their games to their portfolio. The company is also the owner of the Board Game Arena software. Some of the many games published by Asmodee include catan, Ticket to Ride, X-Wing Miniatures Game, Marvel: Crisis Protocol, Marvel Champions: The Card Game, Arkham Horror, and pandemic. ASMODEE also has French rights over the collectible of Pokemon Juego. Asmodee has also licensed its various games for digital video games in recent years. In a moment, Asmodee was even working with pokemon go the manufacturer Niantic Labs to make an AR version of Catan, but that game was discarded after a beta version of a year earlier this month.
Obviously, any Sale of Asmodee would have enormous implications in the wider industry of board board games. Asmodee is the second largest board games manufacturer behind Hasbro and is the largest game editor for many hobbies game stores. If the sale is concrete, it would also represent a significant increase in the value not only of asmodee, but also from the table games industry as a whole. It could also mean an important disruption in the industry, especially if an important reorganization occurs due to the sale or new property.
