Choose the quality or performance in the new generation Rocket League
With the exit of Xbox Series X / S and PS5 / PS5 Digital Edition, Psyonix officially announced Rocket League s performance on new generation consoles. Visual and Performance Upgrades are available for Xbox Series X / S and PS5, with an upcoming update on Xbox Series X later this year allowing Rocket League fans to optimize their experience by opting for performance rather than visuals or vice versa. Rocket League is available for free now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X / S. Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Rocket League s new generation upgrade works at 4K 60 FPS with HDR according to Psyonix. An update of the coming game on the Xbox Series X later this year will add a new video quality parameter on the Video tab of the Settings menu and will allow users to select quality rather than performance. The Xbox Series S will not benefit from the same treatment as it runs at a resolution of 1080p at 60 fps with HDR, although players using less powerful hardware always get the update that allows them to choose. Psyonix has not yet confirmed when Xbox fans can expect the video quality update for Rocket League on the next generation consoles later this year.
The Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 are launched this week, and you can play Rocket League on each of them, said Psyonix on the official Twitter account of Rocket League. Psyonix says that Rocket League will work a little differently on the PS5, with a resolution 4K (checkered) at 60 fps with HDR. Rocket League on the PS5 will not benefit from the same player s choice update that allows Xbox Series X / S players to choose visuals or performance.
