Finally for PlayStation: Xbox

The Xbox system software is the operating system established exclusively for the Xbox consoles. Across the 4 generations of Xbox gaming consoles, the software has been based upon a version of Microsoft Windows and incorporating DirectX features enhanced for the pc gaming console. The individual interface, the Xbox Dashboard, offers access to video games, media players, and applications, and incorporates with Xbox Live for on-line performance. Though initial models of the software application for the initial Xbox and Xbox 360 were based on greatly modified variations of Windows, the newer gaming consoles function operating systems that are highly suitable with Microsoft's desktop computer os, enabling shared applications as well as ease-of-development between individual computers and the Xbox line.

First Leaks already had it prophesent, now it's official: Alan Wake gets a Remaster for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | s. The new edition should remain faithful to the original, but a few changes will nevertheless.

In May 2010, Alan Wake appeared exclusively for the Xbox 360 and hoped in a short time to critical lake. Almost two years later, the action thriller was also ported to the PC. A second part was in progress, but has never been released - since then it has become quiet around the series.

Now Alan Wake is back. Like Sam Lake, his sign Creative Director of the Developer Studio Remedy Entertainement, mentioned in a blog entry, the game will soon be rebuilt in the form of a Remastered version **. The revised version should appear for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC, an official publishing date was not mentioned. (Source: Alanwake.info)

For a previous leak, however, we know that before the 05 . October 2021 was piled. Whether the developers and the publishers continue to hold on to these plans remains open. (Source: Twitter)

What changes in the Remastered version?

Concrete information about the changes to the Remastered version of Alan Wake is not yet available. However, Lake indicates in his blog entry that the new version will be similar to the original in most aspects :

Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience in which you have fallen in love with all the years. We did not want to change that. But the graphic all around, including the character model of Alan Wake itself and the intermediate sequences, has been updated and improved with some selected NEXT generation upgrades.

Although it is not explicitly mentioned, it can be assumed that the Remastered version of Alan Wake is at least PS5 and Xbox Series X in 4K resolution and hopefully also with at least 60 fps. For PlayStation players, the Remaster also offers the chance to finally replenish a classic of the Xbox-360 era after 11 years.
