Gran Turismo 7 campaign mode will always need an internet connection
The fans of Gran Turismo 7 have been plunged into a frenzy after Polyphony Digital has published the official trailer of the game last week. However, this new news has become a source of concern after CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that campaign mode players will always have to be connected to the Internet to participate.
The online connection is required for campaign mode , confirmed Yamauchi in an interview. The only part of the game that does not require an online connection is arcade mode because it has no effect on the backup data. Since the arcade mode has no interaction with the game s backup data, no deliveries are involved.
This announcement from Gran Turismo 7 is logical, since all that has something to do with the data backup will require a connection to the PlayStation Network. The demand for online connection is simply to prevent global cheating of people trying to change the backup data, he added. It is the reason for the online connection.
The delivered data are downloaded from the servers, even when you play offline , said Yamauchi in a separate interview. Asi, an online connection is something that is necessary pretty much throughout the game.
Although this ever-online requirement is considered necessary, at least, according to the developers of Gran Turismo 7, the fans were not very satisfied with the announcement. It is a solo mode that requires an online connection, the developers have made a bad decision objectively , complains a fan. Non only for people who play at Launch, but in terms of future conservation because once the waiters are broken down ...
The exigence of always online kills all hope I had to get GT 7 , mentioned another fan. S il had done so that I can play the countryside fully offline, but, of course, without the online features as in GT 5 or GT 6, so I would totally agree with that.
Some developers have already returned to their decision to have an ever online connection. Fans always hope that developers will also choose to reverse this requirement for Gran Turismo 7. However, Yamauchi s statements clearly indicated that the functionality was considered a necessity for the game.
