The news of the Microsoft purchase of the parent company of Bethesda, Zenimax, continues to make waves in the game industry, with perplexed general analysts and observers trying to understand how this will affect Bethesda s software production. Although the library of the company can certainly make its way to Xbox Game Pass, the recent lists of the ESRB can indicate that some of their titles can be retouched on Xbox Series X - especially Wolfenstein, Dishonored and Prey.
The inputs for Xbox Series versions (that is, both X and S, of course) of the Wolfenstein: Alt and Dishonored & Prey history collection: the Arkane collection. These two collections each contain four games, according to their ESRB descriptions. There are no such lists for these collections for PlayStation 5.
The Wolfenstein collection is already available on PS4, Xbox One and Steam and consists of Wolfenstein: The New Order, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The Arkane collection can overlap an arkane 20th anniversary bundle on PS4, Xbox One and Steam during the summer, which included Dishonored: Definitive Edition, Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Prey. Arx Fatalis and Might & Magic: Dark Messiah were also included, but only on Steam.
The next title of Arkane is Deathloop, which will remain a timed exclusivity for PlayStation 5. It is possible that a collection of Arkane titles is exclusive for Xbox Series X to retain the owners of Xbox until their last allowed to honor the presence of the platform. On the other hand, the omission of PS5 lists can simply be an oversight. Anyway, it seems that some Classic Bethesda games should experience an increase in the resolution and frequency of new generation images.
