The users of the Windows Insider program can already test Windows 11 and its features. But in addition to the slightly adapted design, which YouTuber remembers Macintosh more, some things have also been changed elsewhere. And not all people are happy with these changes.
The fact that applications or programs can no longer be anchored to the taskbar has made few users happy.
That is about: Now users had complained that Windows calendar had also been deprived of an important function that many people like to use.
In Windows 10, you can open the calendar by clicking on the date display. In addition to the date and calendar view, I had access to important dating and could immediately see what was in the program for this week or in the coming days.
This means that you can access important appointments directly from your desktop and you do not have to change to other applications.
This feature (delineated in red) is missing in Windows 11.

This is what users suspect behind the action: And some users also think they have recognized the intention behind this, because Microsoft wants to promote the new Widget Widget 11 function with it. Then someone writes quite clearly: The widget (tool) not only contains the calendar, but is full of unnecessary messages and things.
The calendar option for widgets is also far from being as extensive as the previous function in Windows 10.
The calendar widget only shows the calendar of my Microsoft account. I also use other calendars and I need to see them all together. Web widgets are not very useful and I prefer to see all my appointments in the calendar drop-down menu.
