PS5: New model surfaced and it improves an annoying aspect

Most recently, there were credible reports on a new model of PS5 Digital Edition, which should make various changes to the UR version. So far, the device is probably only available in Japan, at least it was not discovered in other countries yet.

New model of the disk version: That not only the Digital Edition but also the PS5 with drive is experienced a revision was actually clear. Now we have the confirmation, because in Australia, some Findige PlayStation fans have been able to locate the new model with the CFI-1102A key number.

No more loose: Apparently the changes are the same as the digital PS5. This means that the model is likely to be around 300 grams lighter and have another screw for the state of the console. The fewest will carry their PS5 through the area, but the new screw is good news, because the installation of the stand was so annoying so far. For the new version, you do not need a screwdriver anymore, but you can turn the screw with your hand.

But that should not be everything: Alone is therefore Sony but no new models will bring on the market. But what inside the consoles is different, we can not say at the moment. That this is the extensive revision with new chips is rather unlikely. This should come to 2022 anyway.

Therefore, there is no press release: How to see the changes mentioned above, this is not a slim variant, as you like Sony likes to publish (or even a per version). Revisions with small improvements or savings occur regularly, all console manufacturers regularly, and mostly still and quiet. With a little luck, the new models could land with us in the shops - the general availability of the PS5 is and remains difficult.

The availability of Sony's new hardware is still pretty bad. And there are reports, according to which that could still stay for a while. From Intel we hear that semiconductor chips will be short until 2023.

On the other hand, Sony wants to set up a record with the PS5 next year and discontinue 22 million units of the console as many as never before with a PlayStation device. It will probably be about the new models.
