Quake Revitalized Edition Teased by FIXCON Calendar Leak

The calendar of Quakecon 2021 has been published today, and with him, a big surprise. Quake's "revitalized edition" has been disclosed in an event description now removed in the Quakecon 2021 calendar.

Digital Foundry's Best Games of 2020: The John Linneman Collection! Although the description has now been replaced by a simple "...", the event "Let's talk about the earthquake" of Thursday, August 19, read "_quake is back, in this special flow, John Linneman of Digital Foundry speaks to Jerk Gustafsson Machine Games of the emblematic heritage of the title and what it meant for them two. The duo will also discuss additional content that Machine Games has contributed to this revitalized edition. This could very well explain why Quake 1 is not on sale, despite a Quake sale on steam.

In addition to Quake, Quakecon will also explore the new Exciting Deathloop shooter, an upcoming game from Bethesda and Arkane Lyon. Deathloop is a game where you play an assassin stuck in a time loop. You must use your previous courses to handle events and eliminate all your targets. The game has recently become gold record and will be released on September 14th. In addition, Quakecon will offer an update of Doom Eternal Studio, where two developers will inform the players of the Eternal Doom developments.

As last year, Quakecon will be a fully virtual event broadcast on the Bethesda Twitch chain. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Quake franchise, so the show will begin with a special segment celebrating the 25 years of Quake. In addition, segments of other non-Quake Bethesda games will be presented, such as a Speedrun "The Elder Scrolls Online" and a "Fallout 76" end guide.
